Visiting Kutná Hora for the first time? Here is how to travel between the main railway station, the historic centre and Sedlec.

The main railway station is outside the historic centre. After arriving by a long-distance train, continue by bus or local train.

From the centre to Sedlec

For the Sedlec Ossuary and Cathedral, take bus 801 from Kutná Hora, Palackého náměstí to Kutná Hora, Sedlec, kostnice.

If travelling by train, get off at Kutná Hora-Sedlec and walk to the sights.

Local ticket in Kutná Hora

20 Kč / 30 minutes · transfers allowed

The ticket allows transfers and is valid only within the city of Kutná Hora. During your journey, the service must not pass through any stop whose name does not begin with “Kutná Hora”. Only a full-fare ticket is available; there is no discounted version.

The journey planner does not take this local fare into account.

The local fare is available alongside the PID fare. Buy the local ticket from the bus driver. It is not valid on trains. For train travel, use a PID ticket or a ticket issued by the rail operator.

Buying and using tickets

On the bus: tell the driver your destination. Pay in cash or by contactless card. A ticket issued by the driver does not need to be stamped.

In the PID Lítačka app: activate your ticket before travelling. It must already be valid before departure; buying it alone is not enough.

Arriving by train with a PID ticket: Kutná Hora is entirely in fare zone 7, which is already included in your ticket for the train journey here. Check that the ticket will remain valid for your onward local journey. A rail operator’s own ticket does not automatically cover local buses. See the fares overview for prices and discount conditions.
